ABOUT US
Grow. Connect.
Find Purpose
At The Pentecostals of Starke, Jesus is the center of our worship, our message, and our purpose. We are an Apostolic Pentecostal church committed to sharing the gospel, making disciples, and loving our community.
We believe God is still changing lives, answering prayer, and filling people with the Holy Ghost. Our desire is to help people know Jesus, grow in His Word, and walk in the new life He offers.
Our Purpose
To reach people with the gospel of Jesus Christ, nurture their faith, and equip them to serve God and others.
What We Believe
One God
We believe there is one God, who has revealed Himself as Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Ghost. In Jesus Christ dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
Scripture: Deuteronomy 6:4; Colossians 2:9.
The Word of God
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and our authority for faith and daily living.
Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16–17.
Repentance
We believe repentance is turning away from sin and turning toward God, receiving His forgiveness and surrendering our lives to Him.
Scripture: Acts 2:38; Acts 3:19.
Baptism in Jesus’ Name
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.
Scripture: Acts 2:38; Acts 8:16; Acts 19:5.
The Gift of the Holy Ghost
We believe in receiving the Holy Ghost, with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. This promise is available today.
Scripture: Acts 2:4; Acts 2:38–39; Acts 10:44–46.
A Life Set Apart for God
We believe God calls us to live a holy life, reflecting His character in our hearts, our conduct, and our relationships.
Scripture: Romans 12:1–2; 1 Peter 1:15–16.
Prayer, Worship, and God’s Power
We believe in heartfelt worship, the power of prayer, divine healing, and the continuing work of
God’s Spirit.
Scripture: John 4:24; James 5:14–16.
